This short film tells the story of a young African boy who's new to his class in an Irish school. The New Boy wonderfully interpolates the contrasts of colours between his old happy life in Africa, and his new life in Ireland. At first he finds it difficult to fit in as he is still traumatised from his life in Africa, but despite the traumatisation carrying on into seemingly innocent situations, compared to seeing his father getting murdered by the militia, he eventually gets along with the rest of the class with a touch of humour about the teacher and her ordering the class to raise their hands whenever something happens.
